Founded for good
In 1983, WSA Tax’s sister company, Warrener Stewart, was founded in South West London by Peter Warrener and Danielle Stewart. Their vision was simple: to provide professional, affordable, and personable tax services for locals at a time when these qualities were sorely lacking.
Much has changed in the decades since, and today our services support individuals wherever they’re based. But one thing has never changed: we have never outsourced our work. We believe people should be able to speak directly with the person who completed their return, ask questions when they’re unsure, and trust that their personal information is handled with care.
Those founding principles forged Warrener Stewart’s DNA – and they remain our blueprint today.
Evolving expertise
In 1999, Damian Talbot joined Warrener Stewart as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. As the firm grew, so did the needs of our clients. With a large US expatriate community based near our Fulham office, we were increasingly asked to provide specialist US tax advice alongside UK support.
In 2002, Damian qualified as an IRS Enrolled Agent and began offering US tax return services. We didn’t set out to build a specialist practice, and we didn’t promote the service. But as cross-Atlantic residency became more common, demand for combined US and UK tax expertise grew – and word of mouth did the rest.
Eventually, Warrener Stewart’s senior partners agreed: the work had evolved, and it deserved a dedicated business.
Firm foundations
WSA Tax was founded in 2023, built on the same core values, integrity, and service standards as Warrener Stewart. The firm is overseen by Director Damian Talbot, and all WSA Tax directors are also directors of Warrener Stewart, ensuring continuity, consistency, and care across every service.
Our team of dual-qualified UK Chartered Accountants and IRS Enrolled Agents work side by side in a shared office, allowing clients to benefit seamlessly from Warrener Stewart’s wider expertise whenever needed.
As a legal entity, WSA Tax stands alone. As a business, it remains very much part of the Warrener Stewart family.
